La Cadière-d’Azur has managed to preserve numerous relics from the past.
The remains of the old ramparts are intersected by three majestic gateways,
la porte Saint Jean, in the centre of the town,
la porte Mazzarine to the east and
la porte de la Colle to the west. Next to the town hall,
la Mairie, is
la porte de Saint Jean from the 16th century with its original double doors spiked with enormous nails. In the village there is also a 16th century church, built on the ruins of a church dating back to the 12th century and whose bell tower has one of the oldest bells in the Var (from 1458).
