Villetta Felice and Capanna Felice
Villetta and Capanna Felice is a beautiful newly restored farmhouse and barn with all modern comforts and with private pool, and wonderful views, located on a hilltop close to the medieval town of Barga. Situated in an Estate of 16 hectares of land, with wonderful views at every turn, this property is a perfect rural retreat only 10 minute drive from the medieval town of Barga, with its cobbled streets, duomos, and ancient architecture. Barga is well known for its good quality but reasonably priced restaurants, and often outdoor concerts (mainly classical and jazz) are performed in the evenings, along with firework displays. Closer to home and within easy walking distance is the village of Albiano with its good restaurant and shop.
This carefully restored house has been finished to a very high standard and care has been taken to preserve the original character with chestnut beamed ceilings, cotto and solid chestnut flooring throughout.
Villetta Felice: The main house, 150 m2 – 6 persons:
3 beautiful bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom, one of which has a bath tub.
On the ground floor is a living room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen with utility room, all of which are separated by traditional square arches, but which are in essence part of an open plan living space, giving a light and airy feel to the property. There is also a ground floor WC.
Capanna Felice: The barn, 85 m2 – 4 persons:
2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Living area and fully equipped kitchen/diningroom on the ground floor along with a downstairs WC. Outside there is a covered eating area - reached from double doors in both the kitchen and living room with breathtaking views over vineyards, with the mountains behind, and the medieval town of Barga to the left.
There is a private pool of 10 x 5 m with Roman Steps. From the pool one can enjoy the fantastic views of the surrounding mountains and the underlying vineyard.
