Le Barcarès is a charming town at the sea with good restaurants, a large market, avenues with palms and a joyful atmosphere. At the market you will find excellent products – a lot of fresh fish, fruit, cheese and lovely wine. The town is an old sea port, and today it is both a fishing port and a marina. Le Barcarès is an authentic French village but more and more tourists find their way to this exciting corner of France. The village and the surroundings are very adapted to children.
If you are interested in wine you have the possibility of visiting local vineyards in Languedoc-Roussillon – one of the world’s largest wine districts. Within half an hour’s drive you have the possibility of beautiful trekking in the mountains, where you can also visit Cathar castles or explore caves. All in all, this charming corner of France is influenced by its strong Catalan heritage.

Well equipped kitchen and scullery. Large covered living area opening to the large roof terrace with overlooking the sea and the mountains.
