Between the two huge mountain massifs, Massif des Maures and Massif de l’Esterel, this medieval village lies beautifully on the right bank of the Argens river. Roquebrune-sur-Argens is very charming with its narrow winding streets, beautiful old stone houses, 7 medieval fountains, a Templar’ house from 1249 as well as the remains of the village’s old castle which was destroyed in 1592 during the religious wars.
