The charming medieval village Aups is set amphitheatrically on a hillside, at the foot of the ruins of a château fort from the 12th century. Aups has managed to retain a great deal of its historic relics and the town offers a multitude of ancient buildings and houses, among which a listed parish church, built in the years 1489-1503. One can also find numerous small, picturesque streets, ancient gates and fountains as well as small shady squares.
